The Ego as Portrait Artist

Inspired by Patrick White’s novel The Vivisector, this video likens the ego to a portrait artist hungry to perceive and amplify the flaws and weaknesses of others, insisting that they represent reality. Using passages from A Course in Miracles and Carl Jung’s memoir Memories, Dreams, Reflections, the ego’s need to create such pictures is exposed, along with the portraits of Truth they obscure.
