During challenging times, it’s helpful to have a mentor providing encouragement, guidance, and companionship. Virgil helped Dante navigate the levels of hell; Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda guided Skywalker to become a Jedi Knight.
We don’t, however, have to have a person beside us to receive mentorship. Objects can become powerful symbols of people, processes, and values, connecting us to those who’ve gone before us; those who know the way.
This podcast explores the above idea and includes a reading of ‘Play School: The World as Transitional Object,’ from “Alchemists of Suburbia: A Course in Miracles, Psychology, and the Art of Integration.”
